Energy is the most important issue in the world today.

Much of the geopolitical maneouvering between super and world powers is oriented to securing the resources necessary for national energy independence.  Without secure and dependable resources to fuel power stations and vehicles, no nation can survive in the modern world.

Established energy sources include oil, coal, and nuclear fissionable materials.  Less established sources exploit natural and renewable sources such as include solar, wind, geothermal and tidal power.  Experimental sources in hot and cold fusion, and quantum mechanical derivatives such as the zero point field energy.
