Geopolitical Issues: News Scans and Academic Journals
Geopolitics,
or the conduct of affairs between powerful nations, is the obvious
global strategic issue. It is subject to long histories, secrecy,
extreme complexity, deception and very public displays. Real intent is
only ever determined from hints, yet it affects our daily lives over
the decades of our lives. A key component of current geopolitics is
Energy, which is essential to the world economy, global warming, and
military power in the form or fossil and nuclear fuels. Access to fuel
resources is essential to actual and aspirant world powers.
